inkjet prints, glitter & glue applied by my son, coal ash
prev / next
A series of black & white photographs, glitter, glue, and ashes. The subject of the images is anthracite coal gifted by my brother, and mined in a county my grandfather mined coal. After printing, glue and glitter was applied to the surface of each print by my eldest son Sebastian. He chose the color and applied the trails of glue to the surface of each print before pouring glitter to coat each image.
Each piece of coal photographed was burned to ash and exhibited along with the images.
